CAR WASH TUNNEL MODULATING SYSTEM
Travelling around the European Eastern Countries, we often noticed that cars are big size though old dated at times when not brand new and that they represent a high social "status symbol". Moreover, the precarious and badly made roads and country side lanes are often turning them into a sort of "muddy shape" vehicles.
Hence the need to wash them often and keep them clear and shining!
Last year we have installed a modern, European car wash tunnel plant in one of those countries and the results are extremely impressive both in terms of number of cars washed per hour and in the cleaning and drying effect.
The plant is a modular type plant and it can wash very well any type of car at a rate of 60 cars per hour with the driver staying on and never stepping out and without loosing time.
The plant process consists of several steps made of:
- prewashing
- shampooing and detergent
- high pressure wash
- brushes wash both vertical and horizontal
- wheels brushing
- wax bath and drying
prior to get out of tunnel at the green light with a very well washed, clean and smart car as new.

The plant is driven by a PLC system so the driver pays at the cash at entrance, the operator sets the required program and, successively, the car is duly washed and leaving the tunnel after a couple of minutes! The satisfaction is unique:
- no waste of time
- high efficiency
- fully automatic process
- costs saving and, thus, very competitive prices.
The advantages are not finished! The plant installed is very modern and equipped with a special biological water treatment plant that enables the recovery of approx 80% of water back in the line reducing consumptions.
The plant has been chosen biological to prevent the staff intervention and control to the strictly necessary cleaning operations. The plant consists of:
- mud and sludge recovery
- oil and grease absorption
- automatic dosing of micro-organisms for water cleaning
- a biological system where dirt sticks to the internal biological process and then, once clear, it is pumped to the final fine filtration
- quartz and active carbons fine filtration to reuse water back into the system.

Other than being biological the system works without any staff adjustment and at very low processing costs compared to the adding of flocculants and chemical products of the standard chemical-physical treatments. The saving of water is amazing!
It is also interesting to underline the use on the system of new ecological cleaning products and liquids almost free of caustic soda with the advantage to protect the cars metal other than allowing the biological water treatment to work smoothly.
A new car wash system modular in process to meet the new era of these Eastern European countries who are ready to buy new and luxury cars and that, despite their continental climate, like to show their cars clean and shining to impress everybody around!
